Motivation Wednesday: Hit the Road!

It’s such a simple concept but one often forgotten.  A short-term change of scenery can do wonders for the soul.  I am currently at Lake Oconee just outside Atlanta with a great friend of mine for a 3-day jaunt.  It only took 90 minutes to get here yet it’s a completely different place with a completely different feel to it.  How easy is that?!  It’s so refreshing to discover new places no matter how dynamic or simple they may be.  If you feel like you’ve been in a rut lately… you’re run-down, overstressed, bored, etc. then think about getting away this weekend.  It doesn’t have to be anything extravagant.  Could just be for the day, really.  Look at a map and pick a place that’s at least 50 miles away that you’ve never been to.  A small town for antiquing?  A great hiking trail?  Or just a town with a funny name that you’ve always wanted to see in person to take that photo and say, “I was in Hot Coffee, MS!”  (actual city – see below)

- Jennifer Gregory,

Maybe you live in a large city and could use a little nature?  Use Google to find the closest hiking trails then rent a Zip Car for the day and take off!  Sometimes it’s just good to GET AWAY.  Again, such a simple concept but often forgotten.  If you’re reading this post then I know you have the internet and with the power of the internet you can plan anything in about 20 minutes.

Hit the Road!!!!
